What is SureLock?

Why do automated garage doors need an automated garage door lock?

First and foremost, Your Garage Door Opener “Does Not” actually Lock your Garage
Door, most people simply believe that because they close the Garage Door with their
Garage Door Opener it is locked – that is simply not true – This means that the Largest
access point of your home is vulnerable.

Known as the “6-Second Break-in“, a thief needs only 6-seconds to break into a home
through an automated garage door not secured with a garage door lock.

And when consumers secure their automated garage door with a manually operated
garage door lock (slide bar, padlocked, etc.) it Interferes with and diminishes garage door
opener convenience, as the garage door must be manually unlocked before it is
automatically opened; and then manually locked after it is automatically closed.

Will SureLock work with a garage door openers backup battery?
Yes, SureLock is designed with additional connections for battery operation.

How long does it take to install SureLock?
The time required to install SureLock is typically less than 1 1/2 hours for most anyone with basic skills and tools.  The typical time for a professional is around 20 to 30 minutes.

Can SureLock be manually released in the event of a power outage?
Yes, SureLock is equipped with a manual release lever.

What is SureLock made of ?
SureLock is constructed of heavy duty steel.

What are the physical dimensions of SureLock?
SureLock is 10″ x 2″ x 2″  (length x width x depth).

Will SureLock withstand a forcible entry attempt?
SureLock will generally withstand more force than the door it’s securing.

Will adverse climate conditions affect SureLock?
Extreme climate conditions have shown no affect on SureLock’s ability to operate.
